What is a Morpheus8 treatment?

How does a Morpheus8 treatment work?
During a treatment, a specialized matrix of needles penetrate the skin in an intentional and controlled manner to produce micro “injuries” in the skin in order to trigger the body’s natural healing response. The needles penetrate into the subdermal tissue and release a pulse of radiofrequency energy that tightens the soft tissue, coagulates the fat, and stimulates the production of elastin and collagen. This means that the RF energy is not lost in the top layers of skin but can permeate the dermis (where collagen and elastin are produced) and the fatty subcutaneous tissue below — which can also lead to fat reduction and contouring. The depth of penetration is adjustable and will depend on the treatment area (e.g., face or body) and the patient’s desired results.

Before Your Treatment:
Prior to your Morpheus8 MicroNeedling & Radio Frequency procedure, your technician will review your medical history and consent, go over your treatment goals and discuss desired outcomes. They will then ensure that you are a good candidate for the procedure and ensure all your questions have been answered. They will then numb the procedure area with a topical numbing solution to make the treatment more comfortable. Any discomfort that is felt during the treatment is often very tolerable. This procedure takes less than one hour on average.
After Your Treatment:
Recovery from Morpheus8 MicroNeedling & Radio Frequency Treatment is relatively easy and requires no extra downtime. It is typical to experience one to three days of redness in the treatment area, which is sometimes accompanied by itchiness and/or swelling. These effects are part of the body’s natural healing response and should not be a cause for concern. You must not touch or apply anything on the treated area for 12 hours after the procedure in order to prevent infection. Specific after-care instructions will be provided during your visit.
When Will I See Results?
The most significant changes from this skin rejuvenation technology will require some patience, as new collagen develops in the body. Full results will be visible in about 3 months from your final session, though clients typically begin to see the benefits of treatment within a few days. Skin tightening begins to become visible within 3 weeks of treatment.
