What is Scalp MicroPigmentation with Hair Follicle Simulation?

Our technicians recreate the appearance of hair to cover scars, bald spots, thinning hair or even simulate a full head of hair for a denser look. What shades are available?

How does the treatment feel?
There is some discomfort with the procedure, however we do everything possible to make it manageable. A topical anesthetic is used at the start of the process and during treatment.
Is the treatment permanent?
This micropigmentation procedure is like a tattoo, however the micro needles used to achieve a natural look do not implant the ink as deeply into the scalp as needles used in traditional tattoos. All tattoos will fade over time and may require periodic touch ups. Lighter colors fade more quickly than darker colors. However, this is variable from person to person and depends on how well you take care of your scalp. Scarred areas also fade more quickly because scar tissue does not hold the ink as well as normal healthy skin.
How many sessions do I need?
It may take several sessions to achieve the look that you desire, depending on the depth of color and density you want to achieve. The number of required sessions is variable from person to person, as each individuals scalp may retain or reject the ink differently.
How is the healing process?
There may be some swelling and soreness the day after the treatment and the scalp will appear darker for the first few days. After a few days, the scalp will start to form scabs and peel/flake off making the color appear lighter. Peeling lasts about a week. The total healing process takes approximately 4 weeks.
