Electrolysis

What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is an effective method of permanent hair removal using technologically advanced computerized equipment. During the electrolysis procedure, a special device probes the hair follicle with heat energy, and the hair is then removed with tweezers. This essentially damages the growth center of the hair follicle, preventing future growth. Depending on the stubbornness of the hair, how much hair there is in the area, and if the hair growth is affected by hormonal cycles, the number of sessions and time per session will vary. Most people treat their area once every week to once every 4 weeks, consistently for one year. Our electrolysis technicians are experienced professionals, who have been trained in Medical Aesthetics and this procedure specifically. Electrolysis can be performed on any area of the body for either men or women, including face, ears, breasts, underarms, bikini line or abdomen. This treatment is intended for areas where you have small patches of stubborn hairs which can occur naturally, as we age, due to hormonal changes, or after pregnancy. If you are looking to remove hair on a larger part of the body such as legs, check out our Laser Hair Removal options!
